Terms and Conditions of Booking
Patient Acceptance Policy
At Roseneath Dental Practice, we are committed to providing all our patients with a welcoming, respectful, and positive experience.
We do not refuse to provide dental care on the grounds of race, religion, gender, sex, age, sexual orientation, appearance, disability, or medical or dental condition. All patients are treated fairly, with dignity and respect.
Choice of Dentist – When you book your first appointment, we will advise you which dentist you will be seeing.
For subsequent appointments, you will generally be offered an appointment with the same dentist. If you would prefer to see a particular dentist, please let us know when arranging your appointment. We will always do our best to accommodate your preference, subject to availability.
In our practice, we will: Respect our patients’ confidentiality. Deal with every telephone call promptly. Deal with correspondence within 3 days of receipt, wherever reasonably practicable. Provide patients with a treatment plan and estimate of costs for each new course of treatment. Provide the highest standards of infection control. Provide any emergency treatment required during practice hours as soon as is reasonably practicable. Maintain a professional, friendly, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
Practice Payment & Charges Policy
We will ensure that all patients: Are advised of what they must pay, when they should pay and how they can pay (e.g. cheque, cash, card, direct transfer). Know what they will receive for their payment (i.e. what treatment or care) . Are given a written estimate and treatment plan on request or where treatment involves more than routine preventive examination and hygiene care. Can talk to a staff member who can explain clearly what payments are due and what they are for.
Payment for treatments is due at the time of your appointment. We accept payment by cash, cheque, and all major debit and credit cards, except American Express.
For more extensive or higher-cost treatments, payment arrangements can be discussed with your dentist before treatment begins.
Accounts should be settled promptly. Interest may be charged on overdue accounts, and seriously overdue accounts may incur additional administration or recovery fees.
Where treatment costs are to be paid, in whole or in part, by a third party, such as an insurance provider or Guernsey Social Security, the patient remains responsible for the fees until the account has been settled in full. Any outstanding balance remains the patient’s responsibility, regardless of whether reimbursement from a third party is pending.
For further information about our fees and charges, please visit our Fees page.
Cancellation and Missed Appointments Policy
We understand that emergencies and unforeseen circumstances can occur and that, on occasion, it may be necessary to cancel or rearrange an appointment.
If you are unable to attend your appointment, we kindly ask that you contact us as soon as possible and, wherever possible, provide at least 48 hours’ notice. This allows us to offer the appointment to another patient who may need it. Patients who have previously cancelled an appointment at short notice or failed to attend an appointment may be charged a cancellation fee.
In cases of genuine emergencies or unforeseen circumstances, fees may be waived at the practice’s discretion. To cancel or rearrange your appointment, please call us on 01481 725800 as soon as possible. For further information, please see our Cancellation Policy.
